The
William Babb Memorial Trophy
|
|||||
| In
1982 the Dunfermline & District Bowling Association initiated a series
of games for retired members of Clubs within the Association. Each club
entered a team of four players and matches were played on a Tuesday afternoon.
Owing to its popularity the number of teams from a club was increased up
to a maximum of three and subsequently leagues were created and played in
sections. The winner of each section and the next three best losers play in a quarterfinal then semi-final
to decide the finalists. The final game is played on the last Saturday in
August on the day of the league championship and the winning club receives
the WILLIAM BABB MEMORIAL TROPHY.
